foot propped on the table, I wrote
to suck the mucky
ache
drag it by the ankles
through the world screaming sloppy skids of seams
unravelling
until I was nothing but alphabetical
fingerprints
bits of toenails and popped-off
freckles of humanity
all of it was fleshy exterior
compared to the sandy stardust
my brain turned to when it reached
hyper speed
befriending every smiling word
along the way
soaking in Ts, Es, and Os, bathing like sourdough
bread dipped in oil and vinegar
once I finished dissolving
there were pores of flavour
waiting to
gush
out
into the world
